Our applied conservation science research and outreach program investigates the effects of land development and human activities on wildlife and biodiversity. We apply landscape-level field experiments, spatial modeling, and social science methods to ask questions related to three primary topics:
- Land Use. How should we design and steward residential developments to protect wildlife habitat on private lands?
- Recreation. How can we balance goals for outdoor recreation access and species conservation in protected areas?
- Citizen Science. How can we inspire conservation actions by citizens and communities?
